Briesa Help
Answers, and a person behind them
Search the questions we are actually asked, browse them by topic, or — when neither of those is it — talk to somebody who knows.
- The questions
- What we are actually asked, searchable and filed by topic.
- Common tasks
- The four things people arrive trying to do, each pointed into the documentation.
- The documentation

- A person
- A person reads every message, and replies within one business day.
Most of what we are asked is below, in the words it was asked in. The answers are short, and where one goes deeper it links to the page of the documentation that does.
If the answer is not there, ask. A person reads every message, and we would rather explain it once properly than leave you guessing.

Getting startedIn the docs: Getting started
Does my whole team need individual logins?
Yes — every staff member who uses Briesa has their own login, because an audit log is worth nothing if two people share a name. An invited user counts against your plan limit before they accept. People can be deactivated at any time, and their compliance records stay available to admins permanently.

What happens to our compliance records if we cancel?
Briesa never hard-deletes a compliance record. Trust records, audit entries, documents and policy sign-offs are kept for the statutory period your jurisdiction requires — typically three to five years after the transaction. Access continues to the end of the month you have paid for, and you can take a full export before it ends.
Read in the docsTrustIn the docs: Trust
How is trust account data protected?
BSB and account numbers are encrypted at the application layer, not merely at rest. Only admins reach trust accounting at all; a team lead reads their own team's property-linked entries, and a team member has no trust access. Every trust action writes an audit entry that cannot be edited afterwards.

Is Briesa available for agencies outside New South Wales?
Not yet, and we would rather say so. It launches with full NSW depth — the PSAA 2002, Fair Trading licence rules, CPD and the Form 6 templates — on an architecture that holds all eight jurisdictions. The other states are added progressively; leave your details and we will tell you when yours is next.
Plans and billingIn the docs: Platform
Can I change plans later?
Upgrade whenever you like and the limit lifts immediately; Briesa prompts you in-app when you reach the cap on Agent Pro or Boutique. Coming down requires your user count to fit the lower plan first. Nothing is deleted either way.

Can you bring our existing data across?
That is the plan, and it is the part we take most seriously — a property's history is the whole point. Tell us what you are on now and we will say honestly what carries and what does not.

Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and your card is first charged on day 15. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
Plans and billingAnswered here
How is Briesa billed?
Monthly, per agency, with no lock-in contract. If a price ever goes up we tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then without a fee.

What happens when we cancel?
You can cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing is charged after it. Compliance records are never hard-deleted: they are kept for the statutory period, and you can take a full export before access ends.

Are the prices with GST?
They are excluding GST. Australian agencies will see it added at checkout.
Plans and billingIn the docs: Platform
Do you charge per seat?
No. The price is per agency, not per person, but the number of people who sign in decides which plan fits. Adding someone past your plan’s limit is blocked rather than silently billed, and we tell you which plan to move to.

Can we change plan later?
Yes, either way, and it takes effect on the next billing period. Nothing is deleted when you move down — you are simply asked to fit the new limits first.

Is there a limit on properties?
No. Properties, engagements, documents and trust movements are unlimited on every plan — the bands are people and teams, because that is what the work costs us to support.
Read in the docsComplianceIn the docs: Compliance
Does our auditor need a seat?
They get the read-only Auditor level, which sees everything and changes nothing. Whether that consumes a seat is not decided yet — ask us and we will tell you where it stands.
