Name, jurisdiction, plan and licence details - and what each of them decides later.
An agency is created once and cannot be moved between jurisdictions afterwards, because the obligations differ and the registers differ with them. Everything else on this screen can be changed.
What you are asked for
| Field | What it decides |
|---|---|
| Name | What appears on your documents, and the address your workspace answers on. |
| Jurisdiction | Which registers exist, which disclosures are required, and which trust rules apply. New South Wales today. |
| Plan | How many people may sign in and how many teams they work in. Nothing else is banded. |
| Licence number | The licensee-in-charge’s licence, shown on the agency’s documents. |
| ABN | Optional, and used on the documents that need it. |
Your address
The agency name becomes a slug, and the slug becomes your address: an agency called Doe & Co Real Estate answers on doe-co.briesa.com. That address is where your people sign in, and where every link sent from inside the system points.
The agency’s own records
Beside the details above, an agency keeps three records with expiry dates the alerts watch: the licensee-in-charge’s licence, professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance. Fill these in on the first day; they are the ones nobody remembers until they lapse.
