A management period is an engagement, exactly as a sales campaign is. It attaches to the property, it has a management agreement, and it ends. The tenancies inside it come and go without disturbing it.
That nesting is the part most systems get wrong. A property under management for eleven years with four tenancies is one engagement and four leases — not four unrelated records that happen to share an address.
